May 8, 1998 – July 5, 2015

On the morning of July 5, 2015 we lost our wonderful friend. He was kind, gentle, brave and funny. He exuded love from every pore in his body. There wasn’t any animal or human that he didn’t like. The chickens, cats and dogs could walk under him. Birds would make nest on the walls of his stall. He wouldn’t pull them down, but just perused at them with great curiosity. We didn’t need watch dogs, he knew when anyone was in the drive, and his high whinny always let us know. People, he loved them and they loved him. He was therapeutic. Good for anything that ailed you. Getting in his stall with him was being in heaven!
He loved to be brushed or petted, the longer the better. It was hard to walk away from him. It seemed he was calling you back with that high pitched whinny. He never acted like the typical stallion, more like a child that loved to be stroked and kissed. Those who came to visit him, were drawn to him. Everyone, had to get in that stall and feel his muscled body, and stroke his beautiful head. He stood perfectly still for his guests, never wanting to scare them away. He loved us most. He protected us from unruly mares in heat. He would get between them and us. Breeding mares was an unbelievable sight to see. He would snort, get ready and wait for Jim to say, “go ahead”. Would dismount when he heard, “Down”, then pranced happily to his stall.  Many who saw him breed were amazed.

When we hurt from loosing loved ones, he sensed it. He would put his head on our shoulders to comfort us. I know he understood every word we spoke. If only he could have talked back to us. But we understood him. His stall and run are but 50 feet from the back window. Each morning we would greet each other with a “Hi, Nick”, his response would come in that well remembered whinny. His joy at seeing us after being gone for a few days was shown by running a derby in and out of his stall, and that musical whinny. He would turn and kick manure at us, then turn his butt to us to have it scratched. Welcome home!

He will never be mentioned in a Legends Book, but he will always be a Legend to us.

A friend told us “There is a power in that horse”. Even when he was dying he brought people together. He literally made miracles happen.

We thought we owned him for 17 years, but he owned us. He was pure Majesty!

Skip Premiere: 2005 PHBA World Champion

Horsemen everywhere! Rarely in a lifetime do you have an opportunity to breed to a masterpiece of the richest breeding and blood imaginable. The result of decades of the best in linebreeding. We are not just breeding to produce another horse in an industry that is already flooded. It is well noted that linebreeding strengthens characteristics. We study the gene makeup of the specific bloodline we are reproducing. Skipa Star blood into Skipper W and Blondy’s Dude bloodlines. Through linebreeding we can consistently clone the great horses from the past for a future generation worth owning. It is here as JMB Ranch, Spanish Fork, Utah, home of Skip Premiere.

He carries champion blood both top and bottom. His sire: Classical Skipper, a World Champion Producer. His dam: Skipa Star Sister. You’ll find no richer breeding anywhere. He has great body mass and muscle which comes thru the Classical Skipper line from the Skipper W’s, but the gorgeous head comes from the Skipa Star line. A true sire will pass these traits to his sons and daughters who in turn will pass them on to their offspring. Certain characteristics are set and inherited from generation to generation This is the beginning of a true great generation of champions.
